Juliana Azevedo is a senior chartered clinical psychologist and Clinical Director and co-founder of Diverse Minds Practice. She has extensive experience working in lifespan public and private mental health services. She obtained her qualifications in Brazil and has been working in Ireland for the past 18 years. Currently working for the HSE, Juliana has lectured in Trinity College (TCD) and University College Dublin (UCD) and also provides professional placements and clinical supervision to psychologists in training with the Doctorate Clinical, Counselling and Educational Psychology courses. She has been linked with The Adult Autism Practice, a service providing neuro-affirmative adult autism self-identification services, since 2020 and is co-writer of The Adult Autism Assessment Handbook – a Neurodiversity-Affirmative Approach book, published in 2023. Juliana’s family is neurodiverse and she is passionate about advocating for human rights and neuro-affirmative approaches within mental healthcare.
